COLBC Girls programme re-signs quality coach and role model

The City Of Leeds Basketball Club is excited to announce that Coach Greta Stout will return to the role of Head Coach for our exciting U12 Girls Programme.

The City Of Leeds Basketball Club is delighted to announce the re-signing of another experienced Women's coach to bolster the female ranks. Greta’s experience as a player and as a youth coach will ensure that our young cohorts stepping into the game will benefit from a young woman that has definitely maximised the returns that basketball can bring.

Greta secured scholarships both in the US and the UK on the back of her talents and the Lithuanian International lives and breathes the game.

COLBC Director Matt Newby was delighted that Greta was returning to the programme:

“As the Women and Girls programme expands we wanted to ensure that the young talent we are bringing in was nurtured in the right way. The journey that Greta has taken on the court is a valuable reminder of the power of sport and the returns that you can get when you invest wholeheartedly. Alongside Coach Ben Allen, Coach Stout will take care of our next generation of players, I am genuinely excited to see her on the floor.”

Coach Stout was looking forward to a return to the floor with a special group of young women:

"I am honoured to be a part of the club and very excited to start a new basketball season with an amazing group of talented girls whose energy and love for the game is so inspiring. I’m excited to work together, grow as a team, and watch them take their skills to the next level. The 2024-25 basketball season promises to be an exciting journey, and I look forward to the successes ahead!"

As we approach the start of the new season, the club is welcoming prospective new players to come along and join our programme. Please contact foundation@cityofleedsbasketballclub.co.uk
