COLBC is proud to announce that Romero Della-Verde will head to Manchester for the England ETP U14 Selection Camp in April.
Player lists have been announced for the selection camp ahead of a busy few months of England Talent Programme (ETP) activity.
Groups of U14 and U15 boys and girls have been invited to attend the selection camp at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
From the camp, squads will be selected for a range of ETP tournaments and games across the spring and summer, with all players attending featuring in at least one squad.
COLBC Director Matt Newby was delighted to see Romero's efforts being recognised by the performance pathway:
"I am really excited to see how Romero responds to the fantastic opportunity of joining his peers from around the country at the ETP next month. He genuinely deserves this opportunity as he has shown an incredible work ethic throughout the past two seasons. Having been the beneficiary of both Aspire and the Super-Regional tournament last year, these experiences have given him the impetus to pursue a roster spot in a National Teams jersey.
A nice element of his basketball journey, is that he joined the club as we were running sessions in the park during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was genuinely in the right place at the right time, and he has shown both the passion and desire to be successful in the game. Everyone at the club wishes Romero all the best for this opportunity."
